Photos from 3rd skate rock at the Downtown Skatepark!

Saturday was a great day for music, fun, and skateboarding.  We had Obama Nation and Contortion session show up at Lee and Joe Jamail skate park and play a great show along with a DJ and some best trick contests between sets.  everyone seemed to have a great time; Plenty of people showed up and had a blast, so I was able to get some great photos. I would also like to give a special shout out to Obama Nation. Honestly one of the last straight hardcore punk bands still playing as much as they can here in Houston. If you love energetic loud punk rock you definitely need to go to one of their shows.

Skate Rock #3

Hey everyone, the Skate and Rock concert series is having its third show at Lee and Joe Jamail skate park. The first two shows were really good and this time Contortion Session and Obama Nation will be playing. Hopefully we can get even more people to come out, skate, and watch the bands play. I’ll be there skating and photographing the day. Don’t miss out!

Skate Rock #2 at Lee And Joe Jamail Skatepark!

The Skate & Rock concert series had its second show at the Lee and Joe Jamail Skatepark. It was definitely better this time around, the weather was nice and a lot more people showed up. Be sure and check out the next one if you missed out, which should be sometime in June. I’ll keep you posted. I wanted to give a special shout-out to Pink’s Pizza and Barry Blumenthal for putting the shows together. Hope you guys like the photos and I’ll see you at the next one.

Downtown Skatepark Skate Rock #2

This will be the second skate jam at Lee and Joe Jamail skate park downtown. There will be two bands playing in between the pro bowl and street course. The last one was a blast, so don’t miss out on this one. I’ll be there taking photos and skating once again.

The show at the downtown skate park was a pretty good one. It was definitely a better session with the bands playing in the background. Here are some of the photos I took of Talk Sick Brats. Unfortunately, my camera died towards the end of Talk Sick Brat’s set, so I didn’t get to take any of the Luxurious Panthers although they put on a good show as well. This was my first time shooting photos of an outside show, so I hope you like them. Be sure to keep checking the site to see when the next shows at the downtown skate park will be.

Last night’s show was great. All the bands came out and everyone had a good time. Voodoo Glow Skulls put on a really good show, and I got some great shots. Thanks to all the local bands that came out, hope you like the photos.

Skate Rock at Downtown Skatepark!

I’m really looking forward to this show. It’s gonna be a good one! Live bands will be playing at the downtown skate park near the kidney pool! I will be at this show skating and shooting some photos, so come out and have a good time… and don’t forget your board!

Voodoo Glow Skulls

I have been working a lot lately, and I have been really busy so I haven’t been able to update the site as much as I would like to. I still would like any bands to send me flyers so that I can put them up as soon as possible. I will be shooting photos at this show. Some local bands will be playing with Voodoo Glow Skulls. This should be a good show, so I hope to see everyone there.

White Swan

This Friday come out to the White Swan and see some good music! I recently shot photos of Obam Nation at Fitzgerald’s and i can say that they put on a really good show. Hopefully i will be able too make it out.
